RuneScape Unveils the Menaphos: The Golden City Expansion

 

RuneScape will release 'Menaphos: The Golden City', the first in a series of expansions, on June 5th. Starting with this one, each three months the MMORPG will receive a new major expansion introducing new regions and new content, but unfortunately these expansions won't be free (unless you are a subscriber). Watch the announcement trailer below.

The Menaphos expansion will focus on exploration beyond the city gates, introducing new quests, new zones, a new Slayer dungeon and a new skill level cap (from 99 to 120).

“RuneScape has always been underpinned with the telling of great stories and quests, and launching RuneScape Expansions – beginning with Menaphos: The Golden City – allows us to do that in an entirely new way,” said David Osborne, Lead Designer, RuneScape. “We’re working hard to ensure this gleaming metropolis eclipses the Menaphos that’s been in the imagination of our many millions of players for more than a decade, and we can’t wait to share more details over the coming weeks before the gates open.”
