Orcs Must Die! Unchained Introduces PvE Mode
As a part of the update scheduled for 1st July, Orcs Must Die! Unchained officially adds a PvE mode. The update also brings a new option to custom PvP matches: two additional neutral targets. These points will be made freely available to players and can be captured. If a team manages to capture both, then a boss card can be placed in the opened camps, heading into battle in the next wave.
Just as in PvP, in the new PvE mode players need to defend their own rift making use of skills and traps. However, there is a chance to set up multiple traps before the game starts, increasing the tactical possibilities.
PvE also features other new mechanics, such as the Unchained Meter, a barometer that fills up as players eliminate enemies through combos. Once charged, the group enters Unchained Mode: all heroes get a bonus to health and mana, as well as reduced cooldowns. But this also rises the level of difficulty, introducing to the battle new bosses, like a heavily armoured orc.
It will feature a leaderboard, which will allow players to compare their results with others.
And that's not all. This update also introduces a new map, new skins and lots of small changes to heroes, creatures, the user interface, performance and map dynamics.
