Might and Magic Duel of Champions gets a new expansion
Ubisoft has just released a brand new expansion for its free-to-play Collectible Card Game, Might & Magic Duel of Champions. Forgotten Wars, this is the name of the new expansion, will introduce a whole new set of 150 new cards, a new Academy faction, and a new system called Altar of Whishes, which lets the player exchange their Wildcards for a specific card, of course, rarer the card, higher the price.
The new academy faction enhance the spell-based decks with a high risk gameplay and creatures with high requirements and specific vulnerabilities.
“The Duel of Champions community has been requesting a way to obtain specific cards, and it was important that we fulfill the request with a solution that is true to the balanced and fair competitive spirit of the game,” said Stephane Jankowski, producer of the game. “We’re excited to see how gameplay changes with Forgotten Wars’ additions of The Altar of Wishes, the Academy faction, and 150 new cards.”
Moreover, Ubisoft announced the launch of Duel of Champions into the eSports scene with the Road to Paris cometition and finals which will be held at Paris during the Paris Games Week (from October 30th to November 3th).
