We’ve updated the European map. Major changes include the addition of major rivers, creating new pathways and choke points across the map. We’ve also reshuffled provinces, added new NPC nations and changed doctrines to rebalance starting positions.

Connected the Great Lake Area to the Atlantic
Added sea connections so ships can travel on the St. Lawrence

Added sea connections so ships can travel on the Don and Volga all the way up to Nizhny Novgorod

Added four new NPC nations
Malta
Pan-Asia Doctrine
Bermuda
Pan-Asia Doctrine
Belarus
Pan-Asia Doctrine
Melilla
Pan-Asia Doctrine
Updated the provinces for the following Nations
England
Removed Gibraltar, the territory is now merged into the Cadiz province
Valetta/Malta and Hamilton Island/Bermuda are now AI nations
Algeria
Turned Touggourt into an urban province
El Oued is now a mountain province
Canada
Montreal and Toronto can now construct a Naval Base
Northern States of America
Detroit can now construct a Naval Base
Russian Empire
Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Kazan can now construct a Naval Base
Communist Russia
Minsk is now part of Belarus,
Added Veliky Novgorod as new urban province
Spain
Tangier and Melilla are now part of the new Melillar AI nation
Updated provinces and province borders for the following NPC nations
Netherlands
Reshaped province borders to account for the addition of the Rhine
Cossack Republic
Redivided the territory into new provinces and reshaped borders to account for the addition of the Volga and Don
Karelia
Redivided the territory and redrew borders to account for the addition of Belarus
Czechoslovakia
Redrew province borders to account for the addition of the Danube
Portugal
Redivided the territory and added the Alqueva Dam reservoir

Doctrines

Changed Doctrines for the following Nations
Russian Empire
Comintern -> Pan-Asian
Libya
Axis -> Pan-Asian
Southern United States
Allies -> Pan-Asian

Map Balance changes

Reduced amount of sea connections
Reduced NPC starting money
25,000 -> 15,000
Removed land and connections
The Northern and Southern States of America now have less border crossings
Max morale penalty reduced
35 -> 30
Morale penalty also starts slightly later
Updated starting units
Added 2 Anti Tank
Removed 2 Anti Air

These changes apply to all maps played on the Europe map: Clash of Nations, Rush for Europe and Swift Strike
Balancing
War Bonds
The next iteration of War Bonds balancing has arrived. Based on community feedback we are now rolling out nerfs to healing, War Bonds accumulation and Instant Spy actions. A big thank you to our tournament community for testing these features and sharing extensive feedback 🤝 These changes apply only to newly created game rounds!

Healing costs
Significantly increased the healing costs for Motorized Infantry and Armored cars
Slightly increased the healing costs for Strategic and Tactical Bombers
Reduced the accumulation rate of War Bonds on World Maps
30,000 per day -> 20,000 per day
This change applies to the following maps

Free For All
4x Free For All

Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug that made it impossible to change what resource or province you were trading in diplomacy in the mobile app
Fixed the issue preventing players from changing language in the mobile app
Fixed an issue that caused the wrong War Bonds costs for Instant Spy Actions to be displayed in some translations
Cleaned up the trade offer interface in the diplomacy window to be more accommodating to translations
