A ‘Mecha’ Tank Coming to World of Tanks Blitz

World of Tanks Blitz is a cross-platform, free-to-play, team-based MMO action game dedicated to fierce tank combat. Available on iOS, macOS, Android, Windows 10, and Steam, the game lets players control over 350 legendary armored vehicles and boasts more than 100 million downloads worldwide.

A 'Mecha' Tank Coming to World of Tanks Blitz

On December 22 World of Tanks Blitz will welcome its first 'mecha' tank. Designed by Japanese artist Kunio Okawara, two days from now the game will see the release of an exclusive tank, the O-47. This new vehicle will be available from December 22 to January 6.

This tier 8 premium medium tank features great dynamics, unique camouflage and maximum speed.

“It was an honor for us to work with Okawara-san on the O-47 project,” said Ozan Kocoglu, General Manager APAC, Wargaming. “He’s an industry pioneer—the father of mecha. Through this collaboration, World of Tank Blitz players will get some truly fascinating content that leverages the talent of Japanese games and anime.”

“I’m happy to introduce the first mecha tank to World of Tanks Blitz,” said Kunio Okawara. “Working as designer for a game was a truly interesting experience. I tried to create something that fits into the game world seamlessly, and am proud to be the first to design a tank for World of Tank Blitz under the Artist’s Signature initiative.”
