OVERVIEW

A free to play roleplaying game, Pixel Hero lets players control an entire party of adventurers as they journey across a magical land, seeking out evil and dangers and helping those in need through a variety of story driven quests. The game features elements of customization, PvP, trading and friendly competition as players work towards being the best in the game and climbing up the PVP ranks. The game can be accessed directly through your preferred web browser and does not require a client download.

GAMEPLAY

The game offers a casual playing experience where user will start by making their own character and progress through the game acquiring more Heroes to join their party, unlocking their abilities and furnishing them with new gear to create an increasingly stronger group. With various PVE and PVP features the game focuses on many automated systems such as a constant acquisition of XP, Gold and loot earned through adventures, simply sending a Hero party on an adventure will give them an endless stream of XP to automatically level up. Similarly combat is turn based and automated, when entering combat the teams take it in turns to attack the entire party and try to be the first do deplete the enemy teams health pool.

HEROES

Heroes are the most fundamental aspect of the game, with hundreds to unlock players will begin by creating and naming their own initial hero and as they journey through the story and head into new adventure zones they can meet new heroes to join their party. Each hero has their own quality/colour: White (Normal), Green (Elite), Blue (Heroic), Purple (Legendary), Gold (Leader Class) and Flashing Gold (Leader Class), these colours and quality both determine how strong a Hero is as well as how quickly they gain XP to level up.

More Heroes can be earned by completing quests or actively engaging in a number of PVP and PVE features to earn unique currency which can be spent buying new Heroes. From time to time players may acquire Heroes that they don’t want or need, here they are able to use the Temple system to dismiss a Hero and trade them for Honor Shards, which they can then in turn use to buy new Heroes from the temple.

ADVENTURE STAGES

Adventure Stages are automated affairs where the assembled Heroes will continue “adventuring” through a zone and automatically gain XP and Gold whilst they are actively adventuring (which can be turned off whilst the Hero rests to take advantage of other features). Adventuring uses up repletion points, but aside from that a Hero can continue adventuring even when the players logs out and will also from time to time uncover loot chests to give a wide selection of different loot items. In total there are 180 stages to complete, each having different pre-requisited before a player can attempt them, though simply following the general main quest chain story-arc will progress players at a decent pace to tackle most Stages when they are accessed.

MINING

One of the most important features in the game is mining, by entering the Mine players are faced with a side view of an underground network that they can mine through, using Digging Attempts to individually clear a block of dirt at a time and head deeper into the ground, they will also uncover valuable ores, jewels and gems that can take minutes or hours to collect. With these resources players can combine them to make valuable and powerful gear items for their Heroes.

PVP

As well as the wide selection of PVE activities players can attempt the greater challenging and demonstration of their ability by competing against other players in the Arena or in the Tournament to try and earn position as they fight and defeat higher level players and climb the ranks. Players will earn prizes with the top players in the Arena earning King’s Medals daily that can be spent on buying even better quality heroes to help retain their title!
