SYNOPSIS

Eternal Saga is a browser-based free-to-play MMORPG that allows players to explore new worlds, join up with friends to fight enemies, and build a unique and powerful set of skills as they save the game’s world from a demon invasion. The game incorporates classic elements of the genre, adding its own unique twists.

STORY BACKGROUND

A long time ago, 72 Pillars of Magic descended from the heavens to forever change the world. Demons used these pillars to rise to power, warring with mankind for control. The Holy Alliance formed to fight the invasion was unable to free the world from the demon presence. For generations, no warrior was powerful enough to destroy the pillars, the source of their power.

Now new hope has arisen as players try to restore peace and serenity to the world.

FACTIONS

There are three factions in Eternal Saga players are able to choose from when creating their character: Umbra, Luma, Astra. For the time being, they don’t have any greater importance to gameplay but allow for faction wars while limiting the player’s choices when joining a guild. The best guilds of each faction are allowed to participate in guild wars.

CLASSES

Eternal Saga features three playable classes players may select from; each one presents unique abilities:

Warrior
Strong and powerful, the warrior is a force to be reckoned with. They wield a sword and excel in melee combat and defence.

Mage
Equipped with a staff, mages are good at ranged combat magic attacks. They use their knowledge of the elements to wipe out those who would stand in their way.

Hunter
Due to their long-range weapons and skills, hunters prefer to keep their enemies at a distance. With their bow, they are well equipped for ranged combat with high critical damage.

CHARACTER PROGRESSION

Eternal Saga players will go on multiple quests to gain experience and level up their character. At the beginning, quest such as main quests, hero quest and bounty quests are the main source of experience. Besides that, there is also the possibility to do meditation and battle monsters throughout the world.

To grow even stronger, characters can be equipped with powerful items which can be further improved through enchantment, refinement, conversion, fusion, synthesis, and socketing gems.

PETS

Pets play an important role during the player’s journey in Eternal Saga as they accompany them to assist in fights against other factions in PvE and PvP battles. Well-raised pets will fight faithfully at the player’s side, giving them a battle rating boost as well.
Through the use of pet awakening books, pets are able to learn new skills. In order to improve its base attribute values, players can upgrade their pet’s aptitude. Improving growth will also add a certain bonus to its attributes.

Players are moreover able to fuse two pets with the result having the appearance of the first pet selected for fusion while retaining the highest level, potential, growth, aptitude and rank of both pets. In addition, pet morph cards allow them to alter their pet’s appearance to their liking.

GUILDS

Eternal Saga allows players to create and join guilds to get together with other players who have the same goals in game. They may then join in guild quests and work hard to make their guild stronger. Increasing the guild’s level enables them to welcome a larger amount of members.

Guild members enjoy their own guild chat to communicate with each other and a guild shop where aspiring businessmen and women can sell rare items exclusively to guild members to receive contribution. The guild vault is a place for members to place items they are no longer in need of but which could still be useful to others. In addition, they can consume a certain amount of contribution to spin the fortune wheel in the guild altar or shake the guild tree to gain rewards.

Another benefit from being a guild member is the possibility to learn guild skills in order to improve your battle rating. There are five passive guild skills: HP up, Accy up, Crit up, Tenacity up, and Dodge up that can be learned and increased using guild contribution and silver.

Moreover the best guilds of each faction are allowed to take part in the guild wars event held three times per week.

DAILY EVENTS

The game features a host of daily events players can participate in to earn titles and precious rewards. In Star Shrine, for example, you will battle cute but yet deadly stars to collect points and receive the title of “Polaris”, while in Great Convoy you will be rewarded for protecting a convoy on its way. The Demonhunt event presents players with a dungeon where they will fight demons to earn wisdom, silver and rare items. Players can moreover go fishing or relax at Amour Shore while still amassing EXP and wisdom.
