Overview

In Hawken you play as the pilot of a huge mechanised walking tank, completely free to play this FPS MMO lets players have full customisation over their battle mechs, from armour, weapons to cosmetics, players get to Duke it out over a number of different ruined cities and alien terrains.

Lore

When the planet Illal  was discovered to have large quantities of a valuable resource on it mankind loot to colonise it and strip the planet of them, men and women were a word to the planet in the hopes of finding a fresh start, a promise given to them by the huge corporations that funded the expedition. The largest of these corporations were Sentium, Crion and Prosk.

Over time the competition between these to be huge corporations excelled from mere rivalry and the technical and logical advances that came to fruition brought with it the fall of Crion, resulting in a global breakout of a nano -virus. The virus was self-replicating and managed to spread over one third of the planet’s surface, those that could afford to evacuate did so, but those who couldn’t now battle for what remains of Illal .

Fearsome Mech Battles

Battle in Hawken is fast-paced and deadly, rapid mechs dash across the landscape dodging missiles and executing acrobatic manoeuvres, both across the ground and in the air, giving an added tactical element to combat. With detailed customisation and loadout possibilities it enables players to choose a battle mech that suits their play style.

With a large number of mechs to choose from there really is something for everybody, selecting everything from your chassis, armour, weapons and items players can own multiple mechs and quickly switch between them in battle. As you level up your mech you will unlock further abilities and customisation options to stand out from the crowd.
